Gerson Hernandez is a graphic designer, content creator, and visual story teller.
My work explores the intersection between motion design, illustration, and brand aesthetics. I approach each project with a balance of strategy and creativity, drawing influence from timeless brands like Abercrombie, Fear of God, and Brunellie Cucinelli. Whether it’s developing personal logos, layout compositions, or motion pieces, I aim to create designs that communicate with clarity and depth. My long-term goal is to design professionally in both print and digital spaces, always maintaining a human-centered and thoughtful approach.
I’m a multidisciplinary creative with a love for acting, photography, and content creation. I’ve spent years capturing stories through film, photography, and digital media, often blending storytelling techniques across formats. My time in front of the camera as an actor has strengthened my creative intuition, teaching me how to read audiences and perform ideas with emotion and clarity.
I’m also experienced in social media strategy and brand development, having worked in customer-facing roles and led student-centered marketing efforts. This blend of visual art, performance, and digital communication fuels my vision: to connect with others through creative work that’s intentional, engaging, and always evolving.
The Making of The Earth
This book jacket is an accumulation of a 3 phase process that included the expermentation of type and font. The outcome was a customization of an existing book covers title with the goal of creating our own interpretation. Importance of research of the books author, the overall concept and summary of said book was all used to create a full version book jacket.
GIF it all you got
Was created as a playful expolration of motion and storytelling. Physical materials and simplistic but effective methods were used. The goal was to bring a simple idea to life through stop motion techniques and to expirenent with how still images could create a rythm and a story when looped.
The importance of timing was key to create a seamless loop, and attential to detail and frame rate were assured for a smooth transition. The simplicity of the setup allows for the creativity to shine through.
Coding and Motion Design
Coding was an essential focus on this project for motion design. I was tasked with the selection of a new perspective client. I was to present to them multiple designs for usage around highly traffic areas in thier buildings, wether that be in lobbies, offices, or outside, the design was to captivate through motion and display. Using a platform that held HTML and CSS programing i was able to composite various designs to be displayed at their liesure.
Topography bare bones
Using Topographical maps we stripped them to the bare basics and conveyed an interpretation of art in our own view. The composites shown are from metropolitan areas but portrayed as vacated dessert fields. The deletion of roads, landmarks, and neighborhoods allowed me to showcase a topographical area that may seem unknown. Can you guess which location you’re looking at?
Interactive pop-up
This project was pitched to a deserving client in need of an interactive design that would spark up a conversation within the vacinity of its daily users. I chose a highly foot traffic area which also funcioned as a higly commuted.
I displayed my design in their large grass area at the front entrance as well as a large display in their central lobby. The piece is to display the need for more human connection, and i try to relate it to the message of travel and destinations. The outside display was envisioned as a centralized point for pictures as well as a statement piece depicting communication as well as the commuter lifestyle. A connection hyperbole of the railroad ways but also the ease of creating connections with new people on their way to a destination.
